ID ONLINE is currently offering an alternative programme of creative practice sessions curated in collaboration with teaching artists programmed for ID’s Morning Classes, Summer 2020.
Each week you will be able to sign up to open a virtual chest of material, offered directly by the programmed morning class teacher or drawn from ID’s archives. This will vary each week and may include sound scores, creative tasks, texts, provocations, videos and in some weeks may include sessions with the artist via zoom in a format similar to morning class. This is material that everyone is welcome to respond to in their own time, way and space.
These sessions are free to access. Artists’ sessions require signing in via Eventbrite each week.
Keep an eye on our social media and subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date with each week’s offering.
Monday – Friday
The daily class provides a professional learning environment to support mindful curiosity and physical intelligence in movement research. Leading UK-based and international artists draw from a unique amalgamation of their experiences in dance and other body-mind practices. These include but are not limited to Body-mind Centering (BMC), Feldenkrais, Yoga, Alexander Technique, Skinner Releasing Technique, Improvisation, Contact Improvisation, and Bartenieff Fundamentals. With a focus on movement explorations that attend to what movement feels like, rather than imitating an ideal form, classes are accessible to all. The classes embody an ethos of questioning, extending notions of what dance can be and for whom.
