ID is currently recruiting for an administrator and two board members:
Independent Dance (ID) is seeking two board members to join its governing body.
In particular, we are hoping to add another artist to the board, and someone with strong organisational experience.
Independent Dance is one of the UK’s foremost professional development organisations for dance, leading artform and artist development through its programme of rigorous enquiry. Beyond providing professional development, ID questions the how and why of artist development, in constant dialogue with current practice.
Its objects are to advance the arts, and to advance education, for the public benefit by the promotion of the arts, in particular, but not exclusively, of the art of dance.
In the past year, ID has secured continued ACE National Portfolio funding for 2018-22 with its partner organisation Siobhan Davies Dance, is in the process of obtaining charity status and successfully appointed a new co-director.
To build on these achievements, ID is looking for individuals with significant experience in one (or more) of the following fields:
⇒ Professional experience as an independent artist / practitioner
⇒ Professional fundraising and income generation experience
⇒ Governance and management
⇒ Financial management
