Facilities
A world class home base
ID's regular programme is based at Siobhan Davies Studios where all facilities are available to ID participants, including changing areas and showers, the dancers lounge area, and the parlour and kitchen, where dancers can relax and make use of the free internet service.
Siobhan Davies Studios’ daring design was awarded a prestigious RIBA award in 2006 and was born out of a collaboration between Siobhan Davies and architect Sarah Wigglesworth. Home to Siobhan Davies Dance, the building houses two studios: the Roof Studio and the Research Studio (both of which are available for hire to independent artists), a meeting room, reception area and parlour, as well as a kitchen and informal relaxation space.
A treatment room offers a range of alternative therapies including physiotherapy, deep tissue massage and acupuncture. The building also hosts open public classes in a range of styles including Yoga, Pilates, Kathak and Taekwondo and has most recently introduced a programme of children’s creative dance classes.
Access
Siobhan Davies Studios is wheelchair accessible and the ID programme is open to disabled and non-disabled professional dance artists. If you have any particular access requirements please contact us directly.
