Monday Night Improvisation
About the class
Improvised dance is about exploring the movement potential of our bodies and the creative potential of our minds.
As well as enjoying the movement facility already available to you, teachers will use exercises to broaden your physical and mental range. In these classes, teachers create an atmosphere where work and play co-exist and where watching and talking support your dancing.
Classes provide an opportunity to explore the vast array of approaches to improvisation available. Each week is led by a different teacher who brings their own unique approach, each influenced or inspired by forms such as Action Theater, Butoh, Contact Improvisation, Feldenkrais, Skinner Releasing, Tango, Eastern Bodywork Principles, Amerta Movement, Alexander, and BMC.
