Graduate Fortnight 2011
A two-week programme running Monday 4 July - Friday 15 July 2011 specifically created for current final year dance students / new graduates. The aim is to support the transition from student to dance artist through a programme consisting of a daily class in a range of release and improvisation techniques followed by lunch/networking opportunities.
Graduate Fortnight 2011 will focus on exploring beyond the class to delve into the experience of 'performance' through workshops led by ten artists currently making and performing work either alone or with a company in the UK. Each day a different artist will lead a class based in release and improvisation techniques that continues into sharing their personal approach to the performance of movement material or improvisational scores. This will be done through a variety of ways, such as learning repertoire, creating/manipulating material, or working with improvisational scores.
