Critical Pathways 2012
About the course
Understanding Practice | Looking at Practice | Developing Practice with Rosemary Butcher
7 Feb - 13 Mar 2012 | Tuesdays 6 - 9pm | For 5 artists only, by application
This year's Critical Pathways offers an arena for five artists to work in depth with Rosemary Butcher on an idea, existing work, or proposal of work within a small group studio framework. There will be three contact sessions where discussion and feedback will be offered by Rosemary and the group, with two shared studio sessions between to put the feedback into practice. The final week will be a public sharing of work with an opportunity for you open your questions out to a wider audience, facilitated by Rosemary.
This is a specific project for those artists who have a desire to excavate a practice that is particular to their own work, exploring what is meaningful to them right now. The meetings will look at ways of sharing feedback within a group, and helping the process of feedback to become distinctive through asking specific questions about their own work as well as others, and therefore addressing issues of quality, integrity and originality.
As numbers for this opportunity are limited to allow for an in-depth and rigorous experience, participation is by application. See below for details: Deadline 23 January.
