About the MA
We are very excited to announce a New MA Programme in Creative Practice at Trinity Laban delivered jointly with Independent Dance and Siobhan Davies Dance
Independent Dance and Siobhan Davies Dance in partnership with Trinity Laban announce the launch of a new MA Creative Practice (Dance Professional Practice Pathway). The pathway has been designed specifically with professional and mid-career dance artists in mind, and two modules will be hosted and delivered by Independent Dance and Siobhan Davies Dance.
This new pathway provides opportunities for professional dance artists to engage in the further development of their artistic and embodied practice and research. Two modules are taught in five week intensive periods at Siobhan Davies Studios and led by internationally renowned dance artists.
Embodied Practice aims to deepen and extend your embodied understanding of your own movement practice, to consider this within a wide cross-disciplinary framework of enquiry, and give you the opportunity to research your own area of interest.
Investigative Practice takes the form of an intensive creative project; an opportunity to challenge your own making/performing/research practice through the encounter with the practice and ideas of an artist/choreographer of international significance such as Siobhan Davies, Rosemary Butcher, or an international guest.
The other modules include Research Methods, Independent Project and one other MA module option from a selection available at Laban.
