About ID activities
ID's programme seeks to foster an approach to professional development which focuses on increasing depth of knowledge. Dance artists, both as teachers and participants, are able to refine and review their knowledge - interrogating what they already know as well as seeking to broaden their palette through exploration of new ideas and approaches.
Through the activities of:
- Winlab
- Sunday Specials
- What Festival
- Intensives / Delving deeper
- Solo Performance Commissioning Project
- Summer School
- MA Programme in Creative Practice
- WHAT MATTERS
the aim is to create a "laboratory" environment with approaches to teaching and learning which stress the sharing of practice over the imparting of skills. ID aims to provide a supportive environment for this process and a focal point for coherent in-depth movement research.
As a result of feedback from the 2007 Graduate Fortnight programme, students who have just graduated will receive concession rate for our activities up to the end of June of the year following their graduation, i.e. an 09/10 student card will be valid for concession rate until June 2011.
Siobhan Davies Studios is wheelchair accessible and the Independent Dance programme is open to disabled and non-disabled professional dance artists. Please call 020 7091 9650 if you have any particular access requirements.
