ID’s programme fosters an approach to professional development which focuses on increasing depth of knowledge. Dance artists, both as teachers and participants, are able to refine and review their knowledge – interrogating what they already know as well as seeking to broaden their palette through exploration of new ideas and approaches.
The Independent Dance programme is open to disabled and non-disabled dance artists.
Please contact us if you have any particular access requirements.
Coming up we have:
Invitation to Attend with Claire Cunningham on 16 September 2018
Book Club for Dancers with Rebecca Mackenzie on 29 September, 27 October and 24 November 2018
Material for the Spine with Otto Ramstad on 10 and 11 November 2018
WinLab, the annual ‘winter laboratory’, coming up in December 2018
The aim to our activities programme is to create a ‘laboratory’ environment with approaches to teaching and learning which stress the sharing of practice over the imparting of skills. ID aims to provide a supportive environment for this process and a focal point for coherent in-depth movement research.
