Julyen Hamilton in conversation with Jacky Lansley Julyen Hamilton will be in conversation with Jacky Lansley, choreographer and performance artist, who shared many of the formative contexts in the development of New Dance practice in the UK. This conversation will explore some of the practices and evolution within Julyen’s work and his current thinking as a choreographer and teacher. Crossing Borders is curated by Frank Bock and invites a series of UK and international practitioners whose work understands movement and embodiment through a variety of different forms. Art practice, neuroscience, somatics and curation underpin the many contexts where such explorations take place. Crossing Borders has been organised in collaboration with the Graduate School of London Contemporary Dance School and Dance Umbrella. The series offers fresh vantage points on artistic practice and environment, and feeds into current debates on the UK dance ecology. For Julyen Hamilton's biography click here. |
