Rick’s work (Spherical Orientation) is a blend of Contact Improvisation’s approach to the body with the structure of a contemporary dance class. He mixes improvisational approaches with choreographed movement to articulate the soft athletics and multidirectional awareness of Contact Improvisation in solo movement. Rick's choreographic interests often take him towards complexly interwoven groups brimming with solo and partnering material. Unity rather than unison. |
